Food Photography at The Alice Hawthorn,Yorkshire

Here is the food photography our photographer produced at The Alice Hawthorn village Inn in North Yorkshire.

Each of the photographs were prepared on site by their Head Chef and then captured by our photographer using our portable photographic studio equipment in the beautiful surroundings of The Alice Hawthorn in Nun Monkton, between Harrogate and York in North Yorkshire.

All the food shots represent the presentation style and attention to detail of all of the food served at The Alice and have been produced to give an accurate impression of their food offering on their website. www.the-alice.co.uk

Southdale ~ Brig Royd Health Centre

The Brig Royd Health Centre in Ripponden has just been completed and handed over to it’s new owners by The Southdale Group.

The new Brig Royd Health Centre which will accomodate 6 Ripponden General Practitioners and a new pharmacy to provide improved facilities for the residents of Ripponden, has been completed on schedule by The Southdale Group of Halifax. The occupiers of the new building are set to move in to their premises on time,at the end of September.

The Southdale Group began work on the 1,200 sq. metre, steel framed building last year and worked through the winter months to complete the ground works and then construct the steel skeleton structure in order for the building to be delivered on time.

By the spring of this year the stone exterior was well on it’s way to completion and work began on the interior of the building which features an octagonal double height central waiting room atrium.

The glass roof of the atrium will light up in bright blue at night, which echo’s the distinctive blue lights from the top of ambulances and other medical emergency vehicles.

Below are photographs of the now completed interior of the building, which includes the spacious atrium and it’s reception, consulting and treatment rooms, medical record facilities and even a children’s play area in the main waiting room.

BRIGGSAMASCO CONTRACT AT YORK UNIVERSITY

BRIGGSAMASCO WIN WATERPROOFING CONTRACT AT YORK UNIVERSITY

The UK’s leading waterproofing specialist,BriggsAmasco, has been awarded a large scale roof installation contract from BAM as part of a scheme to boost facilities at York University.

The £900,000 roofing programme will include works to new facilities across the University’s Heslington East campus. Buildings to be created will provide accommodation for four departments including the Department of Theatre,Film and Television, the York Law School and the York Management School as well as ‘The Hub’,a central building that will bring together all parties involved in the development.

In total, over 7,500 square metres of new roof will be installed across the four buildings. Designed to full BREEAM specifications, the inverted roofs will benefit from an Alumasc Hydrotech waterproofing system followed by a 200mm thick layer of insulation and completed with a paving or gravel ballast. Two smaller green roofs will also form part of the roof installation programme. BriggsAmasco will begin on site in mid-September,finalising all works in April 2010 when the sedum mat green roofs will be sewn during warmer months.
The national company has had a branch in nearby Leeds for over 40 years, employing a team of over 40 people, who are all directly employed.
BriggsAmasco has a vast experience of work within the education sector and has carried out numerous developments across the country at university’s,schools and colleges, including previous work at York University. The company’s’ understanding and ability to install a large range of roofing systems is often vital for new build, large scale designs such as this where a range of designs form part of the wider development.

Duncan Purdie,BriggsAmasco branch manager said:“This is a fantastic contract win for BriggsAmasco and the Leeds branch. We look forward to beginning work on site and making our mark on this important, new education facility.”
